Independence – Introducing Stage 3 for Pre-Schoolers

Independence – Introducing Stage 3 for Pre-Schoolers

Parents don’t stop, we know that and that’s why we want to make life easier for you! All our products help children, but we also want it to be easy for parents to quickly understand which of our range is best suited for your little one, whatever age they currently are. To help, all our products fall across 3 distinct stages of children’s development.

Why do Nana’s Manners divide their products across 3 stages? What is Stage 3 - Independence?

Parents don’t stop, we know that and that’s why we want to make life easier for you! All our products help children, but we also want it to be easy for parents to quickly understand which of our range is best suited for your little one, whatever age they currently are. To help, all our products fall across 3 distinct stages of children’s development.

Our Stage 3 range is designed specifically for pre-schoolers. The day will come when you’ll look at your toddler and realise that they are not so much of a toddler anymore! The early signs of independence start to show as they learn to do and attempt more everyday tasks by themselves; getting dressed, shoes on and off, coats – though not when you want them to of course! You’ll certainly find that leaving the house starts to take that bit longer! Their co-ordination will have moved on from that gorgeous ‘toddler wobble’ as their gross and fine motor skills develop, and they will start to explore their independence. We call this Stage 3. They’ll start doing more independent activities ‘away’ from you, such as nurseries, play groups or clubs, exploring their growing world. Grip wise, their fine motor skills move on from the pincer grip to the tripod grip. This grip is needed as they begin to learn to write, using the first three fingers to steady and hold crayons, when they play with objects, dress themselves, get their shoes on and feed themselves. They’ll be fast learning life skills that last a lifetime!

Although designed for use from pre-schooler age, our Stage 3 collection will be used well into those Primary School years!

We call this period of growing independence Stage 3. Explore our Stage 3 range here!
